Due to the strange nature of the layout of my room, I'm wondering whether I can wall mount my surround speakers or if I should go with stands.

The windows behind the couch do not exactly line up with the couch or TV stand. My only option, if I chose to wall mount the surrounds, would be to mount them on both sides of the windows (see attached; btw, the hideous blinds are gone in case you were wondering). This would result in the right surround speaker being about two feet further to the right than what appears to be ideal in surround diagrams.
If I were to use stands. I could simply place the stand behind the couch.

How big of a deal would that two feet be if I were to mount them to the wall?
