    is there a way of setting the speakers for a room so that although the room shape is not perferct you can adjust speaker volume to overcome this.

    i have the DENON 550SD

    think ure find something called speaker distances, which u should be able to set on the reciever/amp etc. my denon automatically works this out :)

    Roguey is correct, you should find an option to set either speaker delay or speaker distances in the setup menu for your amp (assuming your amp, like the Denon, doesn't have an auto setup option).
