Some advice please, as I am new to this surround business.

I have a panny hs2 dvd recorder (m/region), plus tv (phillips 6006), and vcr , and sky (not +) - all have 2 scarts.

I would like to set up a surround sound system, so some pointers would be good. Budget would be low end as the tax man is knocking! (£300 ish)

Do I need an amp or another dvd player with decoder, if either, which is better. A second player would have some advantages.

A lot of stuff I would play is sterio 2.0 from the dvd-r, so prologic II ?

Are the all in one sytems are just that, or do you still need sub woofers? Also, how to connect up - scart rgb or svid, plus optical out on hs2 etc.
How do they compare with seperate components for quality and price.?

    Any advice welcome.

ps I may not buy until later in the year, so is plII likeky to drop in price much?

    Thanks, Ali.
