Surround sound to PC?

Hi guys, completely new to this forum. Heard off a friend you guys are the guys to ask about stuff like this, lol.

Anyway, basically I bought a Grundig DVD player with surround sound.

Now the speakers and the sub cables have the lose metal bits at the end with different colours which you plug into the DVD player.

Now what I want to be able to do is plug in these speakers, somehow, into my PC. How does one go about doing something like this? Is it possible?
I am a COMPLETE newbie at electronics any help would be appreciated. thanks.

(if you need any pictures, please, just ask)

Your PC needs to plug into the DVD unit which powers and controls the speakers. Look for a AUX in or optical in.
