Worth it for a sky HD box or is there not much on that broadcasts in surround sound? (HD sound)?

The majority of programming that was made after about 1990 has stereo or dolby surround soundtracks. Dolby Digital 5.1 can be found on almost all recent movie soundtracks and some US originated series. Sky are also producing football and cricket with DD 5.1 surround sound.
So in short yes it would definately be worth getting a surround system unless you spend all your time watching programmes from the 70's & 80's or earlier.
