    Hi

I am trying to set up a friends new Tosh 42PW23P RPTV with the Videologic ZXR-750 kit.

When plugging the phono lead from the tv into the videologic units AUX Input I get the front left and right, centre and bass working , but no middle left/ right of rear left/right???

By swapping the phono input that comes from the tv to any of the other 6 inputs on the back of the videologic simply swaps the speakers that run to just either the middles or rears...............but not all at once????

My obvious question is how on earth do I get all the 7 speakers to work? Or perhaps this specific tv and unit cannot??? Would seem strange if this was the case , as surely thats what the videologic is designed to do????

    PLEASE HELP

are you using a single stereo phono cable, red/white ?

I'm only a nube, but you can't get 6.1 from a stereo source such as this, but a Prologic-2 amp can create multi-channel artificially.

what other outputs does the TV have ? And inputs on your amp ?

This review gives you all the connection tips you need:):-

    http://www.techspot.com/reviews/hardware/videologic_zxr750/index.shtml

If your using your tv as the source (only 2 red and white phono cables) you'll only get 2.1 at best unless it has prologic II decoder which i don't think it has. To get 7.1 you'll need a dvd player/tv with 6 channel outputs and an internal dolby digital decoder to connect to it . Doesn't appear to have any digital connection options atall and offers no processing whatsoever:confused:

I feel you've probably bought the wrong piece of kit for the job you intended :(

So would the solution be for the friend (yes it's me I'm ashamed to say) be to purchase an amp/receiver and run everything through that?

Many thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.

Yes that would get the job done:)
Not sure how the speakers would fair with it though and I'm not too sure how you'd use/integrate the videologics subwoofer .
Can you return the videologic for a refund and start again?
