Surround receiver needed for Quad 12L/11L setup

Hi!

I have the Quads 12L as fronts, de Quad centre as, well, centre en the Quads 11L as surround. I don't have a receiver yet however! My budget is something like GBP600-800 max (not anything more expensive than Pio's AX5i that is), but I don't want to spend it all, if it isn't necessesary. I've looked a lot on all sorts of forums of course, but don't know what to do!
I've been thinking of buying a cheap receiver (like the Sony DB790) and upgrade to maybe the Arcam AVR300 in the future, or maybe just buy a decent mid priced receiver like the Pio AX5i now and not upgrade in the near future.
So every receiver from GBP0 to GBP800 is possible. Do you guys have anything special to recommend for my speakers?

save some money by using the VSXAX3 which is similar to the 5I apart from the I-Link.
And if you get a bigger budget later keep the AX3 as a processor and start buying Quad power amps cause in my experience Quad works best with quad!
