Hello. In addition to my previous post titled "general surround question", I am wondering if anyone is aware of a DVD that would help me benchmark my surroud system. In other words, the DVD would play various sounds and scenes and instruct me as to exactly what I should be hearing and how loud, etc. Is there something like this out there? I think part of my frustration with my existing system is I don't have a point of reference to know whether it is properly optimized or not. Thank you!

There's a whole thread of suggestions in the DVD forum at the top.

You also have the DVD setup disk such as Avia & DVE that will have demo scenes to test your system.

Is there anywhere you can 'borrow' the disks from.
