    Hi All

I have for sale my immaculate condition Surface Pro 4 with Keyboard and Pen.

I have owned this from new for nearly 2 years, only been my server login machine and occasional media player when away from home.

It is in perfect condition, screen has zero scratches, and case only has a blemish near the charging port and where the keyboard attaches. Its been in a full cover case for its entire life. There are a few lightbleed patches around the screen (most if not all pro's suffer with this) and I will post pictures later when dark to show this. They are not visible in use, only on the pitch black start screen.

Its been a great laptop tablet, but hardly every get used so decided to sell on. Perfect for any student, great for note taking and drawing for college/uni!! Has great specs with the I5-6300U, 8gb ram and 256 ssd drive so will last for quite a while.

    Any questions please ask

    Thanks

    Tim

Any chance you're willing to go to £400 if I collect? An i7 model went for £475 delivered a few days ago.

    Hi

Thanks very much for the offer, do you have a link to that sale price at all? Seems a bit low for an i7 version.

I can drop slightly for collection as it will save some time and effort of packaging. Best I can do for collection would be £440 at the moment.

    Thanks

    Tim

Thanks for the link, the only thing I can say is mine has zero marks apart from by the charging port as photographed. The i5’s also run cooler and the fan kicks in far less from what I’ve read.

I think the main difference between the pro and laptop is the pro is better with a pen for drawing and note taking etc. It has features found more in tablets such as rear camera, accelerometer, gyroscope etc. Some things here

Surface Pro vs. Surface Laptop — Which is better (and why)?

I’d say that both perform similarly when used as a laptop, but the pro has more portability.

    Hope that helps

What’s the battery life like? Also is the power connection to the machine all ok? I read that they can be troublesome.

So sorry for the delay, busy day today. I’m just trying to get a battery report for you. It last well though from what I can tell. I can honestly say I pick it up only once a month so really hasn’t seem much use. Never had any power connector issues, seems to click really well into place from what I can see

    Hi happy-2008

I’ll accept your offer, but would like to first sort a battery test for you. I have a quick pic of the slight screen light bleed as mentioned. There is a white light spot just below the surface logo, as I say, not visible at all when in use. Let me know if you are still interested. I’ll post the battery report in the morning.

    Thanks

    Tim

You mean the white spot just above the play button?

That’s the one, it’s just some light bleed, but only ever see it when the loading screen comes up. You would have to have a complete black wallpaper for it to be seen in use. Just would rather highlight it now as I mentioned it earlier in the thread. If you would prefer to leave it don’t worry

    Morning

looking online there appears to be quite a lot of cases of white spots/light spots on the screen. from what I can see, it may be pressure from components underneath the screen but hard to certain. People have even had warranty replacements from Microsoft with worse spots. Also battery report is attached, goodness knows what it means

    Thanks

    Tim

Just to update the Mods, the item has arrived but there was a problem with the type cover not operating correctly. It appears to type randomly on its own amongst other things but I have been more than happy with Ciggybumly response to resolve the situation. I have managed to get hold of a pro3 type cover and this works on the tablet fine which means that the type cover is broken/faulty. I believe that this was working fine on dispatch by Ciggy but unfortunately its just one of those things that happen. We will work to resolve the dispute though :)

    Hi all

Yes many apologies to happy_2008, but it appears there’s a problem with the keyboard type cover. Never had the issue before but these things can happen. Thankfully happy has been very patient and understanding, I’ve hopfully managed to source another type cover ( from ebay but it’s meant to be brand new, if it turns up) if it fails to arrive, and if happy is ok with a partial refund to cover the failed keyboard all should be sorted

    Thanks

    Tim

Another update, I’ve managed to buy a replacement keyboard cover and have sent to happy to see if it works.

    Thanks
