The Supra AV3 cable has won a best buy price, in Whats Hii, og someting, so it's ok to go with that cable? And does 2 vs. 3 metres, has anything to say, performance wise?

I have a 1m length of the cable and it's great. It is available in a 3m version so it should be OK to use.

I would think shorter is better.
The minimum to do the job is best IMO.

    Very nice cables!

Friend of mine has a 2m supra component cable and I have the QED P-CV1 (also an award winner). Must admit overall we both preferred the supra cable which had a more "cinematic" picture with DVDs, can't describe it better than that.

The QED cable had a more "detailed" picture, but the colours weren't as good. That was with the "old" cable. Haven't had a chance to compare the supra with the new QED cable.

    Hope that helps,
    Shye

    Thanks, shy, helps alot.

But what about the 2 vs. 3 meter thing? I'm gonna wall mount my plasma, and the reciever isn't placed entirely under the screen... a little to the left actually... and I don't think 3 metres will be enough... so will there be any noticable difference in quality?

Try asking this in the Cables forum as well, you may get more responses over there.

Just been looking at DVI cables and the site said no more than 7.5 m for DVI standards. Not the same, I know, but the component cable is more basic (being a single cable).Interference becomes a problem the longer you go (with any decent shielding it's not a problem), but I think a few metres will not result in signal loss.
I guess you'll be safe with longer than 3m, just buy reasonable quality.

Actually, I meant that 2 meters wouldn't be enough, but I've just mesured, and I think that the 2 metres will be enough, so no hazzle ;)

Buy the 3m if it's that close. It won't be a problem, IMHO :smashin:
