Its a rip off of the avforums logo!
The man himself...
I'm suprised he's so like the original , lack of definition I mean .
I can remember the Spidey films from the 70's . I shudder to think of Spidey looking like that in the latest films .
Still , time will tell
Oooh that was below the belt!
slightly strange looking figure photo - almost looks rendered
What is this actors name - never seen him before?
Here he is in Clark Kent mode:
Seems Singer & co really are going for film continuity.
Yes, not an origin story. Takes place on Superman's return to Earth after disappearing for several years.
He's called Brandon Routh. I've not seen him in anything before I think he's just done tv stuff.
If they use John williams score at the start then this could be the next big thing
He is a dead ringer for a young Chris Reeve...though the suit is more George Reeves...without the baggy tights...
So where does this film leave the Smallville TV series I wonder? Do you think that it spells the end for Smallville or will they progress it on into a full-on Superman TV series and just ignore the fact that they are starting a new film series? It would be a real shame if Smallville never develops into Superman... Anyone heard anything?
I thought I read somewhere , that the episode "Smallville Clark" flies , will be the last one . Ofcourse I could be mistaken
Sky+ for over 2 years , and I still don't set it to record Smallvile
The Smallville universe & the Superman film universe are being kept seperate.
are you sure this isnt a still from the next harry potter film?
I really like the logo, and the acor looks like an interesting choice, but I have to question how good this movie will actually be.
Bryan Singer, Kevin Spacey to name just 2 people connected with it...do you have some inside information...?
As well as Singer directing, both screenwriters for X2 are scripting the movie. This is definitely one to be optomistic about.
To echo Family Guy, do you have some information no one else is privvy to?
Interesting that Singer is not going down the well worn origin story route again, but rather this seems to be a direct sequel to Superman II (wisely ignoring the awful third and fourth movies). It apparently also features unused archive footage of Marlon Brando as Jor-El from the first two movies!
Found these three synopses on the net:
Does this mean that the new film will be set in 1986?
One problem that really strikes me about remaking Superman is that in the 1940s & 1950s, and even to a lesser extent the 60s, 70s & 80s it would have been relatively easy for Superman to use the secret identity of Clark Kent and to disguise himself by wearing a pair of glasses, but with modern technology/cameras/photography/internet it would be so bloody obvious that they were the same person. The whole concept is just farcical. Has this issue ever been addressed in the comic books?
I've never been a fan of the big blue boy scout but I think that he may ahve come out of the closet, so to speak, and that his alter identity is an open secret.
I could be way off of the mark with this though.
I'm quite optimistic about this too. I loved Singer's work on X-Men, I can't see how this will be disappointing
