Does superbit titles overcome the problem of fog and mist artefacts that dvd seems to struggle with? i have just watched Carrie on region 2 and the scene at the beginning with carrie in the shower breaks up quite badly. The picture is an absolute mess and makes dvd look like a micky mouse video format. I have noticed that a couple of other titles experience problems when there is slow moving fog in the picture. Some dvds, aliens, gladiator and planet of the apes seem to cope well with it. Is this a fault with the compression or can it be overcome?

Are you sure your TV does not contribute to the problem? 100HZ processing I find adds to such a problem.
