    Well that cleared that up.

    Gozzy.

    Superbit discs basically do not have any extras that take up space on the DVD. Therefore more room is available for a higher bit rate transfer of the movie and soundtrack ie DTS as well as plain old Dolby Digital. You get slightly improved visuals and audio in a nut shell.

    High Def disc which should be around late 05-early 06 will be of a much higher quality. Well fingers crossed anyway :)

    Although Superbits are generally better as far as PQ and sound is concerned compared to standard Columbia releases (Superbit is a Columbia only idea) Other Companys release versions of there films with a nice high bit rate transfer as standard, e.g most New Line Cinema titles :)
