Why oh why didn't Nintendo make Super Monkey Ball 2 incompatible with the Wavebird controllers!!

The furstation that the games causes and as the controllers have no leads to hinder there "flight path" will surely lead to broken vases and/or TV's.

Do you think Nintendo will pay out compensation??

Hehe, try not to break too much.

I played enough to unlock a some party games and then kind of gave up on single player, it does get very frustrating.

I've been playing it this morning & the only thing i can see wrong with it at the moment, is the camera gets lost & makes it hard to see where to go at times.

Nah its not one of those games that is 'over' at the end.

I still play on the original SMB for the bonus games. I occasionally play the main game but that always seemed like an add-on to the party games IMO:D

Back to the original point of the thread, I have been using wavebirds for this for ages. What's the problem you guys have found? It works fine for me and this must now rate as my favourite game (at the moment). Level 4 is a bugger (Launchers anyone? --- bas#%@ds). However, that is what makes it so satisfying when you do get through. Some are luck, but if want evidence that there is skill involved, just try getting your 56 year old mum to play it. Now thats frustrating!!!

There's no problem, it just that wavebirds fly better than normal joypads.

Lucky you had your brother around for the harder levels ;)

    Seriously, well done. :)
I have the first game, is it really worth it for the sequel?

The first one is MUCH better IMO. The bonus games in SMB2 were a real disappointment after playing the original just a few weeks earlier.

Monkey Target was ruined in the sequel IMO and the majority of the party games were spoiled by changing a successful formula.

They're still great obviously but the sequel isn't even close to the original IMHO

So I'd say it isn't worth it getting the sequel unless you want more of the same. Just don't expect any improvements over the original...just more of the same with bells and whistles on. Oh and a ridiculous storyline  :D

I have both and think the second one is worth getting if you're going to play multiplayer.

I've only ever played the main game to unlock the minigames.
