Has anyone heard of this Super Enhanced CD. I read this:

    Taken from:

    http://www.cs2cd.com/

Perhaps this is the reason why Sony is only releasing their DualDisc's as Low Res 48 kHz/16-bit Audio and not 24bit/96khz or 192khz like others are. Perhaps Sony is going use this Super Enhanced CD to provide Hi Res Audio using SACD layer & Video using the DVD Video layer.

Would also explain why Sony has backed off on SACD releases of late.

As long as it's Red Book CD compatible, in case the Hi-Res format tanks (quite likely), it will have a chance.

The advantage being that at the very least it will play as a CD in 99.9% of devices, same as normal SACDs do, and work fine as an SACD in any SACD compatible player. In conclusion: teh win :D
