Yeah, i watched it last week as well, you just know his dads gonna croak it which was quite upsetting :(.

As well as being a comic genious, Steve Coogan is doing well in this role.

Still see the Partridge sneer coming in every now and then. :)

Going to see him in Nottingham at the end of this month - should be good.

Seems inevitable now after the talk with the grandson, I'm holding out for a cure...

The scene when Coogan came back from the betting shop and met his father in the hallway was quite moving, it felt very real, Coogan is showing he really can act in this but equally there is flexiblity in the role so he can do the stuff we know him well for.

I think this is a littler overlooked goodie, shame more people are not sussing it.

I do hope there's a ray of sunshine at the end.

With Craig Cash writing, directing and appearing in it, it has a huge feel of Early Doors. It has several actors from Doors and some of them playing the same parts including Cash.

Yes it's pretty good so far.

I happened upon this in iPlayer, nothing particularly original but warm and good natured banter wrapped around a fairly sad story. I guess I won't be the only one interested to see if they'll go for a heart warming or tragic ending, either way, I'm glad I stumbled across it.

Quality piece of TV for my money, very much enjoyed it, and a clever ending.

Highly recommended, a real little gem.

Yep all the hints to "look after the garden" and the emphasis on him going out their constantly, still was a great ending .

By far and away the best thing Coogan has done since Alan.

I enjoyed the last episode but not too keen on the happy/sad ending. God work from Craig Cash overall though.

Cheers
