Sunset in the Cotswolds

A few from one of my Cotswold training walks last week (I'm watching sunsets 2-3 times a week at present )

1. Busy skies

I tried to HDR this one but the noise coming from upping the ex compensation was horrendous.

Some really lovely skies on those. as you pointed out on 1 and 2, some foreground interest always helps, which you've sorted with #3.

Have you tried a graduated filter to darken the sky. I think a wheat field or similar with warm sunset light on it with those skies above would look excellent, and a graduated filter will let you get the sky and the land exposed correctly.

Yeah foreground interest was pretty much non-existant (well, there was a manky hedge...).

I'm thinking I need to invest in a set of filters. Thanks for the advice Tobers.
