Anyone here an expert on roof aerials. Any advise?

should i specify a paticular make/model considering i will have integrated digital tv [idtv/freeview]

I live in the midlands and if anyone has recently had one put in or upgraded can give me a rough idea on how much i should pay for one including installation

This thread should be in the Digital TV and Satellite forum.

What town / area are you?

For Sutton Coldfield you will need a wide band aerial as channels are covered from 40 to 55

Look for a good aerial installer who doesn't keep pushing Sky

Depends on how long the job takes but expect to pay a minimum of £45 for, say, 90 minutes work plus the cost of the aerial, cable (double-shielded) and VAT.

Check out the CAI registered installers directory:-
    http://www.cai.org.uk/cgi-bin/cai.storefront

Or the Association of Professional Satellite Installers:-
    http://www.apsiuk.com

(They specialise in non-Sky dish installations but many of also specialise in aerials and some will do Sky if you ask them to).

For any DIY enthusiast, read The Freeview Bible .

    Walsall

A decent 4 foot or so W roof mounted with CT100 cable will be fine

Ah, in that case phone EUROSAT and ask them whom they recommend. They supply all the local aerial installers so they'll know who is competent.
