Suitable scanner for small stacks of photos

Can anyone recommend a suitable scanner to use for scanning the occasional stack of photos? Most of them will be 6 x 4 in size and I won't have the negatives. I'll be scanning around 600dpi. I want a scanner that is fairly quickly at scanning.

Ideally it comes with software that will allow me to put as many photos that can fit on the glass and it will take care of scanning each one into a separate file (carrying out the necessary cropping and rotation/alignment if it is slightly wonky. If I can find such software, then I reckon I can get about 4 photos on at a time which would make my job 1/4 as long.

I'm currently using Windows 7 so something that works with that would be great.

Any recommendations/suggestions?
