Am thinking of going for the Mordaunt Short Premier speaker package and would appreciate some suggestions as to the amp i should be considering.
    The room size is 18'ft x 12'ft.

    Cool hand,
You'll get a great deal more for your money if you look to second hand or at least exdem. You could be looking at a used DENON AVR 2803 or possibly a 3803 if your lucky. Considerably more amp for your money than the RXV650 (No offence guys!)
Second hand amps are a pretty safe bet as there is very little that can go wrong with them. Secondhand in this pricerange is often a very good bet. A 12 month old (Obselete  ) amp can be snatched up for a fraction of the price.
    Worth a thought.
