Hi

Any suggestions for a suitable bag to keep my kit in. I have a Canon 20D with the kit 18-55mm lense and a 50mm 1.8. I am hoping to get a longer zoom in the future, so would need to hold that too.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Hi Mark, nice to see a fellow lacal here

I got myself one of these http://www.tamrac.com/5743.htm which works great as a light walk around bag, as you can see it will hold everything you have + future zoom along with plenty of room for filters, cards etc...

Another good point is that it's probably (not sure of your budget) cheap enough to be able to afford another bigger sturdier bag in the future if your kit collection grows while still keeping it's usefullness as a bag to use when you don't want/need to take out all your kit. I'm happy with mine :smashin:

Regards,
Iain.

Hi Iain...

Thaks for your reply - looks to be about just the right amount of space... Was also looking at some of the crumpler range - but not sure. Think I need to go into a shop and tryafew for size

I've got a Tamrac Expedition 7 http://www.tamrac.com/5577.htm

Brilliant rucksack style bag. Heaps of room for everything I've got (Nikon D70, 70~200 f2.8 big lense, 4 other lenses, flash guns, mains charger & its mains lead, my P&S camera and its charger + mains lead, lots of little bits and pieces.

Its got loads of little pockets for memory cards and small things, straps to hold a tripod.

It fits comfily on my back, very secure and doesn't move too.

They do smaller ones if you don't need to carry all the gear you can fit into it, which I'd actually recommend getting, as the 7 is heavy when its got all my stuff in it, plus phone, GPS, cans of drink and lunch :)
