Help / advice time

I currently own a Kindle Voyage, which, I believe, was the top model back when I purchased it
Back then it was my 2nd Kindle after my first, an original keyboard model, died

Actually looking, I have had the Voyage close to 7 years
But its now very very clunky
It works, but its bloody slow and just stops turning the page
The battery also runs out rather quickly too

So, I guess I need a new one, but do I need to spend a fortune ?
I just want something that works
Something that has a decent backlight and something that responds to me turning a page

Im thinking the Oasis is likely overkill

The Oasis is a brilliant piece of kit, bit it's very much a case of diminishing returns currently on the Kindles.

The standard Kindle would probably do everything you want it to. Waterproof too. And it would be quicker but without the style of the Oasis. And a lot cheaper.

Cheers rusty
And this may sound a dumb question, but what is then”standard” kindle

Thank you. Think will go with a paper white

appreciate help.
see they still charge an extra ten quid for “no ads”

Not checked the prices but the Paperwhite often comes on offer so would not pay full price if you can hang on and put it to a case, I don know how I did it but got the tiniest scratch on the screen and the back light comes threw it like rays of sunshine in a wooded area.

Amazon Prime Day is 21-22 June. All Kindles will be on discount but don't hang around as some models/colours may get sold out.
