Can anyone recommend a Television superior in picture performance than my current TV which is the Philips 28PW6517 available for upto £400

I saw a Sony KV28HX15 (I think that's the model no) in Asda for £399 and it looked excellent and it also seemed to suffer no fishbowl effects and the geometry looked excellent.

The main reason I want to change is that I own a Pioneer DV575 player and on certain discs there seems to be excessive amount of jaggies for instance the 3 most reason DVD's I have bought are Resident Evil : Apocalypse (R1) which states on the cover that is is mastered in High Definition, Dawn of the Dead 2004 Director's Cut (R2) and Star Trek Generations - Special Edition (R2) and all these produce varying amounts of jaggies which is not particularly satisfying.

One person told me that jaggies are the result of the picture quality outstripping the performance levels available on CRT tube televisions so I thought maybe a change would be in order.

Hope you guys have some suggestions ! :lease:
