Only noticed this last night whilst watching Oceans Eleven. 3 times there was a sudden very loud sharp noise, almost like a clicking sound or interference.

It only lasts less than a second but is enough to scare the cak out of anyone watching!! I'm sure I read somewhere that this is dust on the disc? Is that true or is it something more to worry about?

    Issue with connections on speakers??

I get that same horrible sound when I'm watching Sky and the digital signal breaks up suddenly. I would imagine it is a problem with the Oceans 11 disk. Does it happen in the same place each time? Does it happen to any other disks?

Believe it or not, had this once and a faulty capacitor in my freezer caused it.
Does it occur just when playing a disc?

I've only heard it on the Oceans Eleven disc that time, when I played the same part again it didnt happen. Think maybe it is dust or something.

I;ve had it before on freeview too, that is also when the digital signal breaks up.

Hopefully then it is nothing to worry about...
