    Hi guys,

If I wanted to buy a subwoofer for my system, how exactly would it plug into an amp? (Cyrus)

    Thanks,

    Tom

Assuming the amp has a set of pre-outs on the back, simply by connecting a phono lead. This will let the speakers run full frequency, and the sub set to fill in the bottom end.

Just checked the other thread, does the power amp have a set of phono out sockets on the back?

I would wait until the speakers are well run in before buying one, as depending on how big you room is compared to the demo room you may end up with more bass anyway.

Some subs come with high level speaker inputs (I think all of Rels subs do now). If your sub does, you just connect your main speaker outputs into the sub as well as your speakers.
