Im thinking of getting a sub to compliment my system:

    Sony STR DB940,
    Kef Q35's front,
    Kef Q15's rear and
    Kef Q95 center.

Im told Rel do a good series of subs but im not sure which one would be best suited for my existing setup. I will be using this for movies and music. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated? (£600 max)

    Cheers

Check out the REL Q200E or if your budget will stretch (or you can negotiate a GOOD Deal!) try the Q400E which I am currently running and it is superb!

Just a thought, you could order/build your own from ivan@iplacoustics for £285.50 inl p/p and have loads of money to buy DVD's. By all accounts if you bought from a shop it would cost £700 or more. Its compact and powerful.

I have the same speakers as you, with the Denon AVR-2801 receiver.

I decided on the Monitor Audio ASW110 sub after listening to the MA, Rel Q200E, B&W 500, M&K (can't remember model number).

I thought the rel was really bad!
