Subwoofer Speaker Connection Question

Hi all. Just a quick question. I have the sub woofer with the built in amp.it has the 10 spring type connectors to connect the 5 surround sound speakers 5 on one side are color coded the 5 opposite are black marked center fr fl etc. Coming from each speaker i have the black wire and the other with the white stripe along it. Does it matter which side they go in on the sub woofer as there is nothing marked positive and negative.Appreciate any help.Thanks Dave.

i guess you could trail and error is to find which side is the positive and negative, and usually the strip of connections should be the same anyways. are you sure theres nothing marked saying positive and negative ??? whats the model of the subwoofer?

Hi it is the one from argos acoustic solutions definitely does not say negative or positive and the instruction manual is not clear on it . Tried there email address to ask the question but dosent seem to be working.Dave.

Hi yes thats the one.

easy peasy the black on the right hand side is your negative and all the coloured ones are the positive

the white strip is the negative.

its odd that its like that tbh, it really doesnt matter as long as one of the cable for the speaker is on the negative on the speaker and negative on the sub.
