Subwoofer set up

I have a Paradigm PDR10 sub and would appreciate some advice on setting it up properly.
I use it for stereo & AV and believe that cutoff levels are managed by the AV amp (Marantz 5200).

If you look at the 'AV FAQ' link at the top of the banner on this forum there's an article on setting up sub woofers.

I managed to follow it most of the way but it did loose me towards the end...
