    Hi All

I dont know if you can help but I have the Kef system and everynow and then the Subbase seems to "pop" for example when the music for The Bill plays. Is this because it has just received a signal and jumped into life or do i have one of the settings wrong such as the crossover frequency??

If anyone else experienced this I would be most grateful.

    thanks

does this sound like the same pop when you first switch your sub on? I very occasionally hear this and have put it down to noisy mains.

If the sub has an auto facility it will pop when the sub first receives a LFE signal if it has been dozing for a while. If you can switch the auto facility off, do so

Another possibility is if the sub is actually working the popping sound could be from the sub's speaker hitting its end if the bass signal is especially large.....I had one of the smaller Kef subs a while back which did this with regularity.

Don't think the theme from the Bill is particularly bassy though!

LOL,Adam....you're very probably right in terms of depth...if the signal was of relatively large amplitude irrespective of frequency...in any case I dont watch the Bill(and would prefer it no to watch me either!....the Old Bill that is.)
