Just looking for a little advice what will probably be a simple issue for most.

Just bought an RXV375 to replace my old dying Onkyo receiver, had no issues hooking up all my current speakers and am very happy with the performance apart from the fact i have no idea how to set up my old onkyo subwoofer with the system. It hooked up to my Onkyo with LR speaker wires on both receiver and woofer end, where the Yamaha has an rca connection for this.

So, new wire or new subwoofer?

Just connect either the L or R to the subwoofer RCA on the Yamaha and it should work

You need an active subwoofer for use with the RXV375. If your current sub isn't an active model with its own onboard amplification and power supply then it cannot be used with the Yamaha AV receiver. If it is an active model then you need to connect the receiver's sub pre out to a line level input on the sub via an RCA terminated coax cable.
