subwoofer isolation pads

hi all, I have the kef kube 2 subwoofer and a friend suggested putting it on isolation pads/feet for better sound. I have some editors keys foam monitor speaker pads I could put the sub on, my questions are what do you think about isolating subs from the floor (my floor is Timber joist and TNG board) and would the foam pads suffice for good isolation pads or would I be best off getting some proper isolation feet?
Thanks in advance

My Mono+ sits on a carpeted concrete floor.

It causes way less rattles and issues than the smaller E12F it replaced. I put this down to the huge granite slab that the Mono+ sits on.
