Subwoofer for my Home CInema

Hi,

I recently bought a home cinema which is PIONEER VSX-922K along with Tannoy Mercury V4, V1 & VC speakers. However, I haven't got a subwoofer yet and I haven't got a clue which one to buy. My room is 17m2 and the budget for SW is up to £200. Can anyone please advise me on the best option for the money I am expecting to spend?

Richer Sounds is a good place to start especially if they have a branch near you.

you wont get alot for £200 so i would be looking at a wharfedale sw150 which is in your budget, or if your good at diy and can up the budget a little you might be able to get more.

As Scott said a Wharf SW150 is about the only proper sub under £200 so your only other option is a BK XLS200 which pop up from time to time on the classifieds for your sort of budget.

I don't know why but it didn't appear earlier on when I searched for SW150 keyword. In regards to the one I've posted (10.MX) which is a little more expensive than the SW150, will I see any difference for better if I bought the 10.MX one over the SW150? I'm asking this question because I was convinced that the 10.MX is just another name for SW150 and I did some research and found some good reviews, but still I could use someone to guide me on which one to buy between the two Thank you in advance.

personally i dont think there will be any difference, both are probably the same driver and amp.

the other option is this.
which is a sealed box not ported has a little more power(would be my choice)
