Subwoofer crosover setting.

    I just realised I don`t know what setting my sub (REL STORM) should be in the Menu of my Denon 3803 speaker set up.It`s set at 80 hz is this right or how do you decide? My speakers are B+w CDM 1NT`s. (Cheers,don`t know half as much as I thought I knew ,when I thought i knew it all .)

    I think I should have said 80 hz crossover.I think .

    That's the THX recommended setting, and is as good a place as any to start experimenting. But it probably will be worth playing around with it and seeing what sounds best.

    Thanks Duncan,I must admit it sounds pretty good especially with the freedvd-audio disc that came free with the stereo cd of Tubular bells.

    I prefer 60hz, not only subs work better lower, sound slower than speakers above 60hz, but I also think I can hear them at 80hz...

    I use two Strata III...

    Can anyone tell me what is the an approximate time that REL Strata III sounds broken-in? I could not see anywhere the break-in period being mentioned.

    I didn´t notice much difference broken-in from new...
