Subwoofer Connection

excuse my ignorance - but to connect a Sub to the line level output on the back of my amp I use a phono lead, nor a coax right ????

Just a single phono will do, but you can get dedicated sub leads like the Ixos 1081 for about £15/£20, then you should have no problems with interference if your cable is near to mains leads etc.

I use ecosse reference Producer is this ok or by using digital co ax will i loose quality

Ecosse themselves don't advise this and recommend using either the Conductor or Composer. I personally use a 4m length of The Conductor to my sub. Works well though and is very well made.

The alternative is a cheap gold plated phono. will using the coax damage the sub? if so should I will use the other lead instead it is ofc etc and not dirt cheap but thought it would be better with Producer. Not sure as my ears are not that acurate
