I want to move my sub to the other end of the room due to changing to a longer AV cabinet.

Sub is an Anthony Gallo TR1 - http://www.anthonygallo.co.uk/downloads/tr1.pdf

At the moment the sub is connected to the Denon 3806 amp by a short subwoofer cable with a RCA type jack.

At the new location the sub will be at I already have two pairs of speaker cables running under the floor from the av cabinet location. I was wondering can I use a screw on RCA / Phono plug on each end of the speaker cable and use that to connect the sub to the amp? Would this work okay?

    Thanks.

It won't be screened so you may get some interference, but why not try it and if it works you're set to go :)
