I would like info on integrating a subwoofer (probably HSU or SVS) with a receiver (3805 or different brand in that range) and a stereo integrated (possibly Arcam A85 with fixed gain) for stereo playback. Can some one please explain the exact steps and issues involved for the best and most convenient way to use one subwoofer for either dvd or stereo with this setup? I have seen some other posts scattered about concerning this, but I feel that they're not detailed enough.

You're right, firstly i found some info about this here in the Amp / Receiver section but not enough (hence the post). Thanks to your 'hot tip' I've since found the post entitled 'simultaneous high and low level connections' in the subwoofer section which is much more helpful... my bad.
