I use Windows MCE to record my Freeview TV channels, and it works great. However, the wife (who is a bit deaf) would really like to have recordings with subtitles.

Now, I am fairly sure this is impossible within MCE, but are there any other applications that might be able to record DVB-T with the subtitles? I'm using a Hauppauge Nova-T-500 card.

Use a program with a PID recorder and select the audio, video and subtitle PIDs,

then use VideoLANClient to play back the recorded transport stream.

ProgDVB has a PID recorder as do many other programs.

Search the Hauppauge UK board for more details.
