I know it's very subjective this, but my Dad is looking to get a smallish (17") LCD for the study that he can hang on the wall and watch.

Now, when it comes to Plasmas I know that the Panny PWD7 is generally considered to be one of the better Standard Definition displays. But when it comes to LCD I have no clue.

At the moment the room only has an RF cable that has Sky piped through it, so I can't imagine the picture quality will be very good anyway, But on the off-chance that he gets another Sky box installed in there what are his best options?

Budget isn't too much of an issue. I should think it will mainly be Golf that he'll be watching (Lots of panning = judder?) and I don't think it'll need to be HDTV compatible.

Are there any smaller LCD's that are considered to be 'The best'?
