Hi, I hope this isnt a silly question:

I`m going to be buying a second hand avr100 soon and Ive been looking into which speakers to get. I looked on the back of the unit and it only has 5 speaker outputs (front L/R, rear L/R and center), i was wondering where the sub is connected too?

Can this unit drive a passive sub or is it best to buy an active one and connect to the pre out?

    thanks

Hi - like most AV amplifiers and receivers the AVR100 is designed to be used with an active subwoofer. You use the sub pre-out to drive this.
