Several people have mentioned before that a good place to put a sub is behind the TV. I'm considering doing this, but am concerned that the TV stand, which will also house the amp and DVD player, will pick up a lot of vibration from the sub.

Most setups I've seen in demo rooms seem to have the sub next to the component rack, so I'm probably worrying about nothing ...

    Two questions though -

1 - is this likely to damage the TV, amp or DVD player? (I'd think not).
2 - is it likely to cause problems with the audio/ video quality (eg DVD player skipping due to being bounced around) ?

    Thanks,

    Balders

It'll be the kef 2010 (I think) from the 2005.2 pack.

Very unlikely to cause any damage.

I wouldn't think it would cause too much trouble, so long as the sub isn't in contact with the cabinet.

I had a Rel STrata II directly next to my rack and it caused no problem at all.

My next door neighbor has his Yamaha YST-SW120 (or something like that) behind his TV which is in the corner of the room. It works very well for him.

Simple answer is to try it and see whether you can tell any difference.

    Mark.
