    Hi

Wonder if you can make a decision for me I’m wondering whether to invest in a sub current setup is

Mission 734 for front left and right speakers
Gale Centre speaker (can’t see model number cost about £40/50 at the time)
JPW mini monitors for 2 rear speakers
    Yamaha HTR-5630rds amp
Any think else you need to know?

I would only have about £100ish max including buying the sub cable to spend tho, thoughts?

From what we have found out that there are precious few good subs under £200. If you can find a second hand Paradigm they are quite a bargain and not to shabby for movies, just a little slow on music. Once you have a good sub you wont look back:devil:

You can also ask Kazman if he still has his as he wants to get a SVS, so he might be in the mind to sell his. If nto I would advise you to save your money till you have enough to get a better sub £2-£300.

I'd definitely agree with DFour. It's worth considering any cheap Paradigm really, the PDR, PS and PW get progressively more expensive but are probably the best you'll find at the price, although you will have to put up with second hand (not usually a problem with subs, especially when bought off this forum).

If you get bored, read this thread to see some of our research into this for helping people in your position :)

I think between £80-£90 would be a fairer price but it's still worth a whole ton considering they're getting rarer.

I'd recommend making your own cable if you're at all capable with a soldering iron because it can be done for practically nothing (plenty of threads on DIY cables in the cables section.), otherwise one of Mark Grants from the Power Buys would do the trick.

    Small world.

WScarlet and I go way back, nice to see you around here mate :)

The Paradigm is nice little movie sub, you may be a little dissappointed with it for music though, it's a bit too slow and flabby for music imho, but a great bargain buy for movies.

And trust me, if you hook it up to your PC soundcard, you will feel those rail slugs go through you :D

I cant remeber if the Paradigm has feet on it or not. If it hasnt its worth getting some spikes for it as it tightens up the bass quite well. If it has rubber feet its also worth replacing them especiall if the sub sits on a carpet. Good improvment for not much money:)
