Having recently moved and now eventually got my home cinema system set up, my sub, which has been packed away for a month or so, is making a buzzing sound. My last house had a massive lounge so I may have just not noticed it before........ is this normal? Could it be to do wit hthe fact it hasnt been used for a long time?
Or is buzzing a sign it's about to cost me lots to get the bugger fixed?

Are you running the signal cables for the sub alongside any mains cables now?

Mains is 50Hz, which is one of the frequencies your sub will happily try and reproduce. A poorly shielded signal cable next to a mains cable may well give you this kind of noise.

If it's not that, post back with system details and someone more experienced than me might be able to help out.

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunatly no, the signal cables do not run alongside the mains cable.

The sub is a Ruark log rhythm.
