    Hi

I am looking at purchasing a sub over xmas but before I do I have some queries over the lfe cable. The sub would ideally placed in a corner in my lounge but this would mean that the cable has to negotiate a doorway to get to my av amp. Does the quality of this cable really matter? Or can I just get a small and unobtrusive cable to run round the door frame?????

Basically if i have to get a 'thick' cable my plans are scuppered as girlie will not allow this!

    Cheers guys

The quality of cable will make a difference, but better a sub with a thin cable than no sub at all. I'd get away with what you can for the meantime and upgrade later on! :D

You could also consider different postitioning of the sub to allow you to have a better cable.

    Make your own.

Get some 75 ohm Coax cable and some decent plugs and then you will have a decent sub cable just as good as any you would buy.
I have found no diff between a cable that cost me £5 to make or a cable that cost me (i really paid for this.....:suicide: ) £30.
If you make your own you can have any length you like and because it only cost a few quid to make, you can paint it any colour you like, to blend with you interior decor.

One point i must add thow...is you have to be able to solder, although only a Monkey would not be able to...................or would he.........(Sorry to any one that cannot solder.....:D ).
