Well £150 tops, the speakers themselfs only cost £100, I don't really want to spend twice that on a sub.

The Minotaur and Gemini look interesting.

Well, you are certainly the best judge of managing your budget, but it is very common for the price of a Sub to equal or exceed the price of the rest of the speakers in at 5.1 system.

For example, Diamond 9.1 5.1AV speaker system is £650, the Sub is £299.

The Quad Lite, retailing for £1000, now selling for £545, has a £500 sub.

The Diamond 9.0 system for £350 to £400 has a £150 Sub.

So, a sub is commonly half the cost of the complete system.

Still, for £150, you should be able to get a decent sub that will certainly satisfy you.
