SUB for £200

    I am looking to buy a sub for about £200 to go with my Yamaha dsp ax1. Any help would be apreciated.I am leaning towards the eltax atomic 15r.

    What speakers do you have as if you could buy a package for that price I have Mission Cinema 6 not the best I know but all matc and have had good reviews, includes active Sub, I paid £199 for the lot a currys, I thought it was a good start.

    I'd say spending £200 may turn out to be a false economy - chances are you'll get one, realise it's not very good and then upgrade and end up spending more money than if you'd gone for something decent in the first place.

    If you can stretch to £300 then you can look at MJ Acoustics Pro50 which has had very good reviews or maybe look at a second hand one such as one of RELs here:

    One final thought - many would say that a cheap/poor subwoofer is worse than no subwoofer at all.
