Any difference between a digital co-axial cable and a sub cable?

AFAIK a digital coax phono is rated to 75 Ohms strictly whereas a standard phono is not strictly 75 Ohms, that's what a salesman at Superfi said anyway.

So would a digital co-axial cable be as good as a dedicated subwoofer cable, when used as a sub cable?

I've used both dedicated sub lead and standard single phono to phono,i dont think there is any difference. There is probably a difference as the price of the leads gets higher.

Thanks for that. I'll not worry too much about getting a dedicated sub lead then.
