I've just got my new amp and was wondering about it's compatibility with my sub. My old sony ampilifier specifications says my sub runs at 2V and impedance 1 kilo ohms but my new Yamaha RX-V450 says 4V and impedance 1.2 kilo ohms. Will my new amp & sub work together without damaging either component?can anyone help?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It will be fine, the Yamaha as a higher output it seems 4v rather than 2v ,you just won't need to turn the sub out up as much as you did with the sony.
Whats the sub ,can't remember seeing the max input for a sub.
