    Hi!

    I just redid my living room and we have agreed on Dali Fazon sat for front and center speakers. Only ones we could agree on :)

    So i'm asking what nice small satellites I can use as rear speakers and what sub should I use?

    My room is about 25sqm and with an opening of 1/3 of one wall into the kitchen.

    I've been looking at focal dome or little bird as rear speakers? Thoughts?

    Ideally you really want all the speakers (except the sub) to be the same make and model. Is there a reason you can not use the Fazon for surrounds as well?
    As far as the sub is concerned you will find it hard to beat BK Electronics for value for money. SVS could also be worth a look if you have a larger budget.
    What is your budget for the surrounds and sub?

    Thank you for replying.

    Yes I know that but. Its a compromise I have to live with at home if I want 5.1 at all :) The Fazon is to big in the back I would like something smaller.

    Any specifick BK Electronics?

    Budget for rear speakers is same for the pair as Fazon sat. Whic is around 400-450£ for the pair.

    Sub budget i'm not sure. How high do I have to go 5-600£?

    What about the Dali Fazon Mikro`s for surrounds? Slightly larger height wise than Dome`s but width and depth wise smaller, plus similar sound signature to Fazon Sat`s.

    Compare dimensions;

    Dali Fazon Sats;
    W x H x D (mm) 140 x 260 x 140 (wall mounted)
    146 x 290 x 172 (stand mounted)

    Dali Fazon Mikro;
    Dimensions With Base (HxWxD) [mm]
    196 x 113 x 96

    Focal Dome;
    Dimensions (HxWxD) (172x144x143mm)

    DALI Fazon Mikro High Gloss White Speakers (Pair) - DALI - AudioVisual Online - UK Home Cinema and Hifi Specialists
    DALI Fazon Mikro High Gloss Black Speakers (Pair) - DALI - AudioVisual Online - UK Home Cinema and Hifi Specialists

    Fazon Mikro is also smaller than Focal Little Bird. Which avr you have? Minx 12s are very small and if your avr won`t let you choose individual crossovers between each speakers, then those wouldn`t be on my list.

    You live in Sweden right? No BK there i am afraid.. XTZ is ; Test winning subwoofers from XTZ

    I got a Yamaha rx-v371. Can't set individual crossover now. New avr on my shopping list though. Any recommendations?

    I also found these: SoundWare | Boston Acoustics US
    Which has 90hz. The Fazon has 86hz so that would work better? The CA has 150hz.

    I actually have an older xtz sub today which works pretty good. Its sub 200£ one though. (XTZ 99 W8.16)

    With the Fazon Sats & Mikro setup you could use probably 100hz crossovers for all, so if there isn`t missing some features with Yammy, you could keep it. Depending of which speakers you choose, look the avr last if you need upgrade it. Yamahas under 600 serie has global crossovers, Denons X serie let`s you choose crossovers individually. I have no idea about the prices there..

    I would still choose Fazon Mikros over those you have mentioned, it`s very slim depth wise and i think that is big plus! Show the pictures to your wife, cause some of these will come quite alot out from wall vs Fazon Mikros.

    Also if you can buy them at same shop plus if you decide upgrading your avr you might get better "bundle" deal. Don`t forget Black Friday either!

    Yup the new XTZ`s are quite different level to yours (8" 100w rms amp). In that size room with opening i would look for 12.17 if budget allows, if not then 10.17 is good choice.

    Thank you. Yes the local dealer has cambridge audio, fazon and mikro at home so I can demo those. I will test the mikros. Thanks for the advice. Nah the yamaha has the functions i need. When I go 4k monitor I'll upgrade the reciever.

    I went to the local store today and listened to the fazon mikros and cambridge audio. The CA audio is smaller but the sound aswell. In the long term i'll be more happy with the fazon sat + mikros.

    Will keep my sub for now and try it then upgrade that one later.
