    Hi,

I am replacing my present player (Nad T550) and want a good player that is hassle free, multi region, will play RCE discs and must have componant video so that I can connect it to my Toshiba TV using this method.
The Nad has a super picture and A1 sound but I have had lots of problems with lip synch which Lenbrook say cannot be improved anymore after it was sent away and had latest firmware installed.

    Thanks.......

Toshiba SD220E. £145 from Richer Sounds. Continually winning ***** awards all over the place with many happy customers on this forum.

I think you'll find the suggestions willbe almost unanimous for this player.

Damned good point and that would give you NTSC prog scan as well.

Alternatively I have a hardly used (seriously) Panasonic A360 which can go cheap. On board DD and DTS processors, really nice player. Just a thought (and a plug :D )

i have just got the sd220 for the bedroom and i have got to say, the pic on it is far better than you would expect to find on a sub £200 machine. a great buy, if i didn't need it!

I had a Panny 360, quite a nice machine but the PQ doesn't touch the Tosh 510. I don't think it has component output either?

The Tosh 510 should be available at or around £250 (Richer Sounds?). May be worth waiting for the 520, coming September.

Agree, but a good player for someone at £50.
