    Hi there,

I am new to home cinema, and just in the process of investigating what it is all about with a view to putting a system togther.

One thing that I do notice is that the SUBs all seem to be black boxes - not very exciting to look at.

Coming from the hi end car audio world where presentaion is almost (sometimes more) as important as sound I wondered if it was different in home audio.

Also is their much of a market for buying speakers and then building your own enclosures - also a popular way to go in car audio.

    thanks for reading.

For speaker kits have a look at Iplacoustics.co.uk, he has several models to choose from.I have the sub and Sunday finished his smallest tranmission line, the M3tl and they are excellent, I'm thinking of finishing them in an a distressed looking wood floor panels, I'll do it the sub first to see how it looks.
    Hope this helps.
